Recipe Makeover: Chicken Fettucine Alfredo

At FunnySpoon you know our goal is to make things SIMPLE so that anyone (yes, anyone) can get a great dinner on the table in less than 30 minutes. We often come across recipes that look fabulous, but then balk at the length of the ingredients list, or freak out when we see the number of steps in the directions. We're guessing that might have happened to you, too, at one point or another.

So we're starting a new Recipe Makeover series where we take recipes that look tasty to eat but dauting to make and we "FunnySpoon" them, making them accessible to everyone.

I'm starting with Chicken Fettucine Alfredo because the Italian in me loves to indulge in creamy pasta as often as possible! But my time constraints don't always allow me to make homemade sauce, and I pretty much never want to spend time prepping raw chicken breasts.

I found a fabulous Chicken Fettucine Alfredo recipe on AllRecipes.com that has 4.6 stars out of 5, but it also has 16 ingredients and takes an hour from start to finish.

So for those in a time cruch or who simply don't want to go to that much effort, how about trying our Spinach Fettucine Alfredo and Chicken recipe?

Using spinach alfredo dresses up the dish a bit and adds more flavor, while still containing a total of 4 ingredients and taking only 15 minutes to make. You can throw in some roma tomatoes and mushrooms (for a total of 6 ingredients) to stay more true to the original recipe, but we like it just the way it is!

If you try this recipe (or the original) be sure to let us know what you think!
